I am Panamánian. Hispanic and proud of it. My ancestors are from Panamá, Colombia and Nicaragua. Although I have been in this great land of America for decades, my heart belongs to Panamá. Lately, however, thoughts of Paris have risen to the forefront of my mind. Why is that strange you may ask? Everybody dreams of going to France. It's the city of lights filled with romance and the Eiffel Tower for Pete's sake! Let me tell you that has NOT been my dream. Many years ago a now ex-boyfriend from England told me the French are arrogant. Over the years that point has been proven to me time and time again; right here in the good ole US of A! So rather than end up in a French jail like Lucy Ricardo in "I Love Lucy," I thought better taking my hot Latin blood on that Eurostar to Paris. However, I'm older now and wiser and dare I say calmer than that young girl...or so I'd like to believe. The thought of missing out on the city of lights with its Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Ponts des Arts bridge and Champs-Élysées will not be lost on me. So, vive la France and Happy Valentine's Day!
