People grapple with their age. For the most part, I'm not one of those people. There's so much I want and want to do and age is really not a factor...again for the most part. When I was younger, I was a bit reckless - no, maybe that's not the right word. Clumsy; accident prone...maybe. I've fallen more times than I care to count. I've broken this, fractured that and severely bruised the other. These injuries are now wreaking havoc on my body. I've pretty much been tall and slim my entire life. Although right up until my 11th year of HS, my peers called me "Shorty D." Now in my late 40s I have the body I've always wanted with one notable exception, my midsection. This gut (as it were) is causing me much pain to the sciatic nerve in my lower back. I can be doing something as simple as putting on my pants and my back goes out - then I'm done for at least 3 days. Everyone is on this workout craze these days but it's difficult to workout when any little move can take you out for days at a time and it's no small pain, let me tell you! I've been to a sports medicine physician who's diagnosis was to workout. Are you freaking kidding me?!? How? SMH....hellooooooo (in my Miss Piggy voice) if I could workout, I wouldn't be in this office paying you a mint!?! The funny thing is at any family function, I'm the dance machine but can't run or jog if my life depended on it. However, my 2017 resolution, was to get into shape (*insert eye rolling here*). I've picked out my chic workout gear as pictured above. I've written out a complete plan and as of today have done none of it! I'm sure I'll get to it before 2018!
